I was inspired from a young age by dance, music, art, architecture and design. My greatest influence was my Grandfather, whom I spent many hours with creating cities and highways out of wood, painting, and making music with the harmonica. I dedicate everything I create, to him.
As a teenager, I continued to create, be it artwork, clothing, or interior decorating. I also loved helping with design choices for new homes, and I found myself early on working in the industry. When the industry slowed, I enrolled in college for the travel and tourism program. My family and I were also involved with a multi-cultural travel organization, and I vollenteered much of my time to the ESL program, and to a welcoming organization for newcomers to London as well, which I enjoyed.
Aside from raising my beautiful daughter, dog, fish, and 5 rabbits, I still love to paint. I also love to learn, to read, and to experiment. (Thanks once again to my Grandfather). So I am always reading and researching and learning new information to educate myself.
I love to express a portrait of all the things which capture my feelings, my thoughts and my possibilities. I also like to write, and have started putting together a book about my rabbits. Other fun things which inspire my artwork, are animals, tropical plants and creatures, and fun things such as bubbles and lollipops. I am drawn to the silliness and uniqeness of my rescue rabbits, the gentilness of my black labrador retriever, the beauty of flowers, koi fish, and rocks from Lake Huron. I am fascinated by the absolute magnitude of large animals such as elephants, rhinos, and hippos, and the shear power, presence, and grandness of large dog breeds such as the Mastiffs and Newfies.
